Children are very precious to God and they are to us as well at MBC. Our children’s ministry is uniquely designed for your child. Children, birth to 6th grade, experience safe, age-specific environments where the Bible is conveyed in a creative and relevant manner. Come join the fun and experience a church where kids can interact with the Bible on their level.

Nurseries

At Maranatha we recognize the importance of safety for the little ones that you entrust into our care. Our caring nursery staff provides parents with quality child care in both our Sunday School and Sunday Morning Service.

Children’s Sunday School (3yrs-6th grade)

Every Sunday morning at 9:30, children from age 3 through grade 6 meet together in classes for their specific age groups.  Our teachers make the Bible come alive with lessons geared to the children’s comprehension levels.  Some of our program elements and emphases include Scripture memory, devotional helps and character development.  Come see your child grow in Christ with enthusiasm and excitement.

Junior Church (K-4th)

Junior Church is meant to teach the kids the Bible on their level and help prepare them to sit in regular service. We sing songs, sometimes do Bible crafts, do a lot of interactive Bible stories, and give out candy for answering questions, bringing your Bible, and paying attention. It is a fun way to learn more about God and His wonderful word!

Awana – Wednesday (3yrs-6th grade)

Awana is a great time of lively games, crazy themes, fun prizes, and–most importantly–sound Bible teaching and memorization.  Every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:15, children from three years old through sixth grade come from all around the Lansing area to attend the excitement here at Maranatha Baptist Church.  Kids can memorize verses, bring visitors, win at games and sing great songs. We have Cubbies for 3-5 year olds, Sparks for kindergarten to 2nd grade, and TNT for grades 3-6.

Don’t miss out on a fun time to learn God’s Word and grow on Wednesday Nights (September- May). For more details, please call the church.
